Welcome to my website! I am beyond thrilled to introduce you to my first published book, "Just Our Tony", and to tell you a bit about myself.
But first, more about the children's book!
My book is perfect for children, young readers, teachers, and anyone that loves cats as much as I do.
"Just Our Tony":
"Little Tony lives in the big city of Regina where he likes to pounce on leaves and grasshoppers. Most of all, he likes to visit the house with the red front door. But, when two mean cats hurt Tony, he needs help and knows just where to go.
A sweet story about seeking help, "Just Our Tony" teaches young readers about empathy and adoption"

Behind the pen
Even as a young child, Maureen would conjure up stories in her imagination, sharing them with anyone who would listen. Maureen is a dreamer who saw animals in the shapes of the clouds and lived in the books she read and continues to read. Maureen has developed her storytelling and writing quite a bit since then, but the thrill of language and creation she first discovered as a child has never gone away. She has been writing professionally since retiring in 2021, after 33 years in a policing career.
Maureen lives in Saskatchewan with her family and their wonderful, adopted cat Tony.
Tony is the inspiration for her first book, "Just Our Tony".
Maureen has no intention of slowing down anytime soon. Please get in touch if you have any comments, questions, suggestions, or just want to say hello.
